In stark contrast, Freemasonry—a group of European origin that serves only European interests, primarily British and German—hinders and limits opportunities for families like ours across the globe. Opportunities that have traditionally been available to Americans and their families since the country's founding are now being denied to them. Faced with this situation, our family believes that the truth is always the best course of action. We therefore choose to stand in solidarity with other businesses, families, individuals, nationalities, and religions suffering similar—or even worse—persecution, affirming our continued desire for equality, regardless of who has prevailed over whom. We remain open to the possibility of reform within modern Freemasonry, hoping it might one day evolve from an entity that merely feigns good deeds and charitable intentions into a group that genuinely benefits everyone.
